History

Tech Gear Exchange was started in 2002 by our founders, Fred McCoy and Zach Wilson, who have spent much of their careers building data centers for large clients. Naturally, we saw that these clients had a need to dispose of old equipment as they bought new gear, and the concept for Tech Gear was born.

The Tech Gear Exchange team are experts in the IT field and can assist you with any questions you have about compatibility, function, or pricing.

Our current staff have a wide spectrum of experience with computers, networking, office products, consumer electronics, and professional audio/video & music equipment. You’ll see our site grow and offer new sections periodically as we take advantage of these skills, and bring even more value to you, our customer.
